We look forward to welcoming you to Garvally House and hope you have a comfortable and relaxing stay with us. In each of our rooms, we hope we have thought of everything you might need during your stay. From trouser presses to iron and ironing board, fridges with fresh milk and bottled water, even a little home baking. Our refreshment trays have organic teas and a teapot, fresh coffee with cafetiere.
Our en suite bathrooms are spacious and luxurious, with large fluffy towels and high quality toiletries. Our showers are pumped to ensure a powerful flow of hot water.
Shower enclosures are of the large walk in style except in the Double/Twin Ensuite which has a free standing bath.
Should you find you have forgotten any essentials, such as toothbrush, razor etc, we have emergency supplies available.
WI-FI is available in all parts of the house.
The WI-FI connection is FREE and UNLIMITED. Having been recently upgraded to fibre broadband will be blisteringly fast. If it’s not please tell us.
You can connect your own mobile devices using a simple password which will be provided on arrival.

Our beds are large, Super Queen and Super King size. Luxurious hypo-allergenic bedding and 500 thread count cotton bed linen. Spare blankets and pillows as well as robes and slippers, are provided for guests use.
An additional heater and a cooling fan are also provided should you find the temperature in the bedroom not to your liking.
There is also an iron and ironing board.
You will find a hairdryer, shoe horn, clothes brush and shoe cleaning mitt in the drawer of the dressing table
There is a small selection of novels on the window ledge, magazines on the bedside cabinets and some tourist information on the dressing table. Additional books and magazines are available on the half landing of the stairway and in the lounge.
Breakfast is usually served between 7.30 and 9am in the dining room on the right at the foot of the stairs. Please let us know at what time you would like your breakfast served.
The fruit compote, yogurt and granola are all home made, as are the preserves. Hot dishes will be prepared to order. Of course, we offer a traditional cooked Scottish breakfast, however, why not try one of our other options? A firm favourite is our French Toast with Crispy Bacon and Maple Syrup. Or, when available, smoked haddock and poached egg, which is Naomi’s favourite breakfast. A menu will be on the breakfast table for you from which you can choose whatever dish you would like. A Vegan/Vegetarian menu will also be produced on request.
All our ingredients are carefully sourced from local suppliers wherever possible. Fish is delivered fresh to our door from Pittenweem in Fife. Our Venison comes from a local estate. Our bacon, pork, beef, and haggis come from the local butcher 400 yards along the road. We grow our own herbs, salad leaves and some vegetables, sadly like the honey this can be very weather dependent. Our eggs come from our own hens, we have four. Honey comes from our own bees, we had a very successful year last year and now have two active hives beside the greenhouse at the bottom of the garden. We will be delighted to show you our bees.
We do not serve evening meals at Garvally House, however, there is a very good family run Italian Restaurant, Aldo’s, within 500 yards. Please ask for directions.
